Gavilan is an American 1982 TV series directed by Corey Allen that aired on NBC.
1. Sarah and the Buzz
Gavilan rescues Sarah, a fellow colleague, from the grasp of guerrillas in Africa. At the institute, Sarah reveals that her husband is also being held captive there. She implores Gavilan to liberate him as well. Accompanied by a questionable mercenary and Sarah, Gavilan embarks on the mission. Throughout the journey, he must eliminate the mercenary, who was allied with the guerrillas and intended to kill Gavilan. Despite knowing that Sarah is married, Gavilan finds himself falling in love with her. Together, Gavilan and Sarah initiate a bold rescue operation in Africa...
2. Pirates
Gavilan and his marine biologist partner, played by Heather Menzies, planned a romantic island getaway, but pirates invaded, capturing them and forcing them to retrieve a cache of diamonds hidden there.
3. By the Sword
Gavilan is marked for death by a Japanese clan when his girlfriend gives him a ceremonial sword they have been seeking for generations. A colorful and wealthy, but vengeful clan of Japanese who wear extensive body tattoos, pick Gavilan as their prey.
4. A Matter of Geography
Gavilan is being held captive in Cuba, where he believes his knowledge is essential for completing a top-secret Cuban-Russian project. However, he soon discovers that he is part of a clever and dangerous scheme devised by a Russian scientist. The plan is to help the scientist's beautiful daughter escape to America in a spectacular way.
5. The Hydra
Gavilan teams up with a beautiful young spy-in-training to get back his latest invention, a silent, high-speed over-the-water vehicle that an international arms dealer is planning to equip for purposes of warfare.
6. A Drop in the Ocean
Gavilan's associate is kidnapped to ensure his assistance in a heroin smuggling operation. Simone Griffith guest stars.
7. Designated Hero
Gavilan sets out on a daring mission to penetrate a highly fortified Turkish prison and rescue his best friend, who is about to be executed.
8. The Best Friend Money Can Buy
Gavilan seizes the opportunity to stop a conglomerate's illegal whaling operation by linking up on a tropical island with the corporation's chairman.
9. The Guns of Harry August
Gavilan becomes embroiled in an international conspiracy when he looks into the murder of a friend from his secret service days who may have known too much about new, highly sophisticated weaponry.
10. The Midas Keys
Gavilan recovers a pilot's body while salvaging a plane wreck. Unbeknownst to him, his student friend Ben steals a glass pyramid from the wreckage. Ben's greed draws Gavilan into a dangerous pursuit by ruthless characters, who raid his home before Gavilan finally tracks the pyramid down to Ben.
