Kalle learns how to use the sawmill, making planks from their own trees, and Brita starts the renovation of the main house. In the middle of all this it turns out Brita is pregnant.

  Brita finds mold in the guest house and she must try to find a new place for the family to sleep. She is also not completely happy with Kalle’s way of painting, but should she voice her opinion about it? Kalle makes sure that the first animals, little chickens, move into the farm.

  Brita draws up plans for the kitchen and Kalle gets two sheep for the farm. But will Brita ever be able to decide what colour the kitchen should have? And how is Kalle coping with the sheep as they keep running away over and over again?

  Kalle finally starts the cultivation beds on the farm Brita plants walnut trees. Drama ensues around the sheep shearing when one of the sheep hits pregnant Brita in the stomach. Have they bitten off more than they can chew?

  There is panic on the farm when Kalle and Brita discover that the roof in leaking in rain water. What will they do when the budget is so tight? The work on the farm stops when Brita has to go on sick leave and the cultivation beds have had a pest infestation. Pickle jars are filled, cordial is made and the baby is born.

  Kalle and Brita have a big workday on the farm that concludes with a party. But what happens when a hawk has its eye on the hen house? On top of that the farm is invaded by mice and Brita wants to leave the farm and move away.
